A Golf Confession
I have a confession to make right here, right now. I am obsessed with golf. Love to play it. If I could I would play it everyday. The only thing that truly holds me back right now are the finances and the fact I live in Maryland and I can not play year round. Some of my friends would say i am addcited. the only response I have for that statement is “I resemble that remark.”
I learned to play golf in Alaska more something to do. I always looked at golf as being some type of funny sport. My roommate at the time was a recreational player and he talked me into going out with him one day. With nothing else to do I decided to tag along. And I was hooked. I wanted to conqueor this sport in the worst way. I was an athlete in school and thought this would be an easy challenge.
But as we all know there are some professionals who are still trying to profect their game. Just when you think you have it worked out you lose a part of it. Just look at Tiger, just when everyone thought his game was perfect he starts tinkering with it and wants to make swing changes.
Sometimes the putter is woking but the irons or driver aren’t. Other times it is just the opposite. But that one time all the pieces fall into place and you have that great round or even that last shot of the day makes you want too comeback for more. I bet you know the feeling I am talking about.
I have always been a strong iron player. I love my short irons but can even hit the long ones. Don’t ask my playing partners though, they will tell you I need a lot of work. Okay I am a 15 handicap, I have been as low as a 12. I have broken 80 three times but feel I can do it again.
My problem has always been the driver. If I can get off the tee in the fairway, everyones goal, I can score. But the driver is my problem. There I admit it. practice could help but I feel I need something else.
So I am investing this season in the Medicus Driver. I have seen the ads and they look really good. I know you say those are just commercials. But I have used the Medicus 5 iron and have seen some good results with it. So, I feel the driver could make a difference. I want to improve my driving and possible get some increased distance.
I won’t know because it is the winter time up here right now and getting pretty bad. Means I will be couped up just looking and waiting to see what I can do with this thing. I want to hit the ball longer and straighter and that is what it says it can do for me,
I have about 3-4 months of winter weather to make it through but I am determined to lower my score this year and I think this will give me a great chance to accomplish my goal. I will let you know how it goes.
