  1. another awesome video, I hope ill get the picture soon and start playing some proper golf again :)

  2. What a great lesson, Thanks Shawn

  3. Very good. Thank you.

  4. Awesome video Shawn, I have gained 15-20 yrds by simply keeping my arms extended during the back swing and feeling the extension in my shoulders as I make a full turn. Slowing down also helps, especially with long irons and above!!! Golf is once more a lot of fun (I still have a few “off shots” but that always helps in self analysis!!)

  5. this guy looks like my boss, lol

  6. thank you for this tip. I respect teachers who actually teach you the right fundamentals instead of teaching you bad habits. I have no respect for teachers who are more concerned with keeping their employment by teaching people the wrong way.

  7. thanks Shawn for another great lesson! I can see why you are most popular golf teacher on youtube..

  8. Hi Shawn, at the start of the video when you are swinging your arms back and forth there’s no rotation of your arms and your thumbs stay pointed forward which would result in a very closed face on the takeaway. Then when you repeat the exercise with a club in your hands your arms do rotate ending up with your thumbs (and clubhead) pointed skywards. There’s almost 45deg difference between the two. Which is correct?

  9. Shawn, thanks for all of your lessons. Perpetual Motion has made my irons real hot on the fairway. My driver and 3W are getting there. Everything is coming together because of your lessons now.

  10. shawn… just curious about something. i notice your shoulders are relatively level at the top of your backswing, or at least they appear to be. what do think about the notion many teachers have about a steeper angle of the shoulders in the turn?

  11. Shawn, can I add to my comment from earlier to better explain where I’m getting confused. Near the end of the video you are swinging the 10lb bell and you say …….”notice that my left hand is under the right and there is no rotation yet.”
So my question is…when do the hands rotate? If I held a bucket of water between my hands instead of a medicine ball or a 10lb bell, at what point would the water tip out?

  12. I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I do not know who you are but definitely you are going to a famous blogger if you are not already ;) Cheers!
